CANADIAN SONGWRITER HALL OF FAME NOMINEE
2X JUNO NOMINATED SONGWRITER & PRODUCER
Lexie Jay is a 2x JUNO-nominated songwriter and producer, and a nominee for the 2024 Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. Based in Toronto and published by Daytripper Music, Lexie is one half of writing and production duo Illegal Audio. Founded with Marc Koecher, the two multi-instrumentalists work with a wide range of domestic artists including The Strumbellas, Shawnee Kish, Sebastian Gaskin, POESY, Thea May, Family Man, CARLYN, CARYS, and more.
Following the success of "M.I.A." — Lexie’s recent single with Benny Benassi and Emma Muscat, which went #1 — Lexie continues to export to global writing camps and collaborations, though her passion remains rooted in artist development.
A dedicated advocate for underrepresented voices in the queer, female, and Indigenous communities, Lexie recently co-founded Division Eleven Music Group — a label and music management company — with Jon Fedorsen, Jordan Howard, and Marc Koecher. In addition to her work behind the scenes, Lexie is also the lead vocalist of the critically acclaimed alternative trio, FEATURETTE.
